RECONIX PRISM Privacy Policy

RECONIX PRISM ("PRISM", "the app") is a personal morning-assistant app made by ReconIX Labs, a brand of Combat Textiles ("we", "us"). This policy covers the PRISM mobile app, the PRISM web dashboard at reconixlabs.ai, and the optional PRISM display page. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use advertising or third-party tracking SDKs.

Account — name and email

You sign in with Google. We receive your basic Google profile (name, email address, and profile picture) and use it only to create and operate your account — to identify you, sync your settings across your phone and the dashboard, and, within a family "Circle", show other members who is who. It is never used for advertising and never sold.

Your content — reminders, to-dos, and messages

Reminders, checklist and to-do items, your assistant's name, and the messages you send the assistant are stored in our database (Google Firebase) associated with your account, so they reach your other devices, the dashboard, and any PRISM display you pair. They are used only to operate the product.

The morning brief

To greet you with what changed, our server assembles facts you already have access to — the weather, your travel time, your next calendar event (if connected), your reminders, and any health figures you choose to share — and sends that text to OpenAI to be phrased into a short summary. Briefs are generated by AI and may be imperfect. The current brief is stored on your account until it is replaced by the next one. Before you sign in, the app can show a sample brief for your approximate area (see "Location" below); that sample uses no account and stores nothing.

Voice

Speaking to PRISM is optional. Speech is recognized only between the moment you tap or say the wake word and the moment the turn ends; recognition runs through your device's own speech service, and the audio of what you say is never uploaded to us or stored. The recognized text is sent to the assistant to answer. When PRISM reads your brief aloud with the premium voice, the brief text is sent to OpenAI's speech service to be voiced and the audio is played on your phone; we do not store that audio. Depending on your phone, the device's speech recognizer may send audio to Google to transcribe it — that is Google's on-device or cloud recognizer, governed by Google's own policy, not ours.

Google Calendar (optional)

If you connect Google Calendar, we request read-only access and use it only to show your upcoming events in your brief and to work out when to leave for an event with a location. Calendar data is fetched on demand and not stored on our servers beyond short-lived caching; it is never used for advertising, and never sold or shared. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can disconnect any time from the dashboard, or revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Health data (optional)

If you connect Android Health Connect, PRISM reads only the figures you allow — such as your step count, sleep, and resting heart rate — to show them on your phone and mention them in your brief. This data is read on your device; the summary figures are stored on your account so the brief can use them, and are never used for advertising or sold. You can revoke access at any time in Android's Health Connect settings.

Location

PRISM does not collect or store your device's precise location. Before you sign in, the sample brief uses your approximate location derived from your IP address (via the geolocation service ipapi.co) to show local weather; this is city-level, is not tied to any account, and is not stored. If a future version adds place-based reminders, this policy will be updated before any location feature that collects or transmits your location is turned on.

Family "Circle", check-ins, and notifications

If you use Circle, members of your household can see each other's check-ins ("I'm here") and can send a check-in request. We store a timestamp of check-ins so members can see them, and we send push notifications to members' devices. If you enable check-in alerts, we send an email (via Resend) or, in a future version, a text message (via Twilio) to the contact you choose when a check-in has not happened within your chosen window. To deliver notifications we store your device's push token.

Settings and usage data

We store the preferences you set (such as your addresses, ZIP code, wake time, assistant name, and display options) and usage totals (such as voice minutes) in our database, associated with your account, solely to operate the product and enforce fair-use limits.

Third-party services

To operate PRISM, our servers contact: Google Firebase (sign-in, database, notifications, hosting); OpenAI (to phrase your brief, to voice it, and to answer the assistant); OpenWeatherMap (your ZIP code or approximate coordinates, for weather); Google Routes (your configured addresses, for drive or transit time); Google Calendar (your events, only if you connect it); ipapi.co (your IP address, only for the pre-sign-in sample's approximate location); Resend (to send check-in alert emails, if enabled); and, in a future version, Twilio (to send check-in alert texts, if enabled). Each receives only the minimum data needed for its function. Data is encrypted in transit.

Data retention and deletion

Your account data and settings are kept while your account is active. You can delete your data at any time by emailing info@reconixlabs.ai from your account email, or from the account controls on the dashboard; we will delete your account records within 30 days. Disconnecting Google Calendar or Health Connect, or revoking access at myaccount.google.com/permissions, immediately ends our access to that data.

Children

PRISM is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the effective date above.
